Diane Holt

Diane is a Professor of Management at Essex Business School UK and the founder of the Trickle Out Africa Project that profiles over 4000 social and environmental enterprises in sub-Saharan Africa. In addition to her work on African hybrid firms and their role in poverty alleviation, she has recently returned from exploring indigenous entrepreneurs in the Amazon and their involvement in value chains field, as well as running a  field experiment on  conservation agriculture with women farmers in Kenya. She is also the lead UK host of the PhD partnership programme on social innovation and social entrepreneurship in South Africa funded by the Newton fund.
